Gary builds quality homes and is very knowledgeable about the building process. He listened to my concerns and ideas and addressed them all. He always gave options and suggested different ways to do things, so we could decide together how to accomplish what I wanted.  I really appreciated his input and respect for what I wanted. Gary was very easy to work with.

2114 M. Road
Completed June, 2005. 2334 sq. ft. Ranch style contemporary house with stucco exterior. This passive solar house utilizes building site orientation, wide soffits, and stained concrete floors with radiant heating to maximize the energy efficiency and temperature control. One story, three bedrooms, fireplace and a courtyard with a fountain.

Our experience with Gary and Serra Construction was excellent! Gary gave good, practical advice, listening to my opinions, but advising me when he thought certain things would not work for the house. Gary even called a while after we moved in to ask about the sunlight coming into the living room to be sure the solar efficiency was as expected. What we heard most about Gary before we started building was his great integrity. We found this to be true for our building experience with him.

Certified Colorado Built Green home.

We love everything in this house. The cabinetry, the tile, the wood; it looks like a builder built this house for himself. He did an amazing job. I clean maybe once a month, but it's not because the house needs it. There's no dust. The temperature stays controlled; there's no cracks, no cold air coming in. Everyone who comes to our house says, "Wow, this is beautiful."

709 Foxwood Court, Country Meadows Subdivision
Completed 2001. 2168 sq. ft. One-story home with extensive hardwood and tile, home office and stucco and stone exterior.

What really matters is the subcontractors that the general contractor uses, and how he supervises them. Gary was very good at this and very helpful with what we wanted. When the house was being built we changed two walls, the kitchen layout, colors, flooring, fixtures and the driveway, and we are very pleased with the overall house and process.

Jordan Court, Country Meadows Subdivision
Completed September, 2002. 2650 sq. ft. Open floor plan with columned entry, extensive hardwood and tile, split-bedroom with one room upstairs, and stone/stucco exterior.

"We looked at a bunch of houses. As soon as we walked into this one we could tell the quality of it from the structure and the sound. I've never lived in a house like this before. I can go 6 to 8 weeks without dusting, and it's a real bonus. I also think it speaks for the quality of Gary's construction."

48 Road, Mesa, Colorado
Completed December, 2000. 1200 sq. ft. One-story Southwest-style stucco residence.

"We really appreciated Gary's aesthetic and cost consciousness – he was flexible and on top of it. Easy to get in touch with, and good at prompt decisions. Solid, good design and craftsmanship."

Completed June, 1999. 1708 sq. ft. One-story home with brick and stucco exterior, wood floors, French doors.

"We were not even in the market for a new home, but we could not pass up the quality or value of this house. Gary builds his homes as though they were his own. He was personally involved with every aspect of the building process, and his workmanship shows throughout."

Astoria, Oregon
Completed 1995. 3000 sq. ft. Extensive remodel and addition to 1970s ranch style home. Major structural changes; salvaged old-growth fir timbers for use in kitchen. Exposed cedar shingles and decks overlooking Columbia River.

Gary had taken our love for this place into his own heart. He saved us money without skimping on essentials; his thoroughness allowed us to come in under budget. He never missed a day -- even through the first days of his new baby girl's life, he came and toiled. There was laughter and working together, no egos clashing. He built this house for us to be happy in. And we are. When it was all done and he drove off for the last time, we felt at a loss for our builder and friend who had made it all possible.
